Default stereo with CD is OK. HK system is better, but takes up some precious trunk space. Listen to both before you decide. Lots of posts on this subject. I personally will buy the car with the in dash CD and upgrade later with equipment I pick out. People seem to be getting cars around 2000 over MSRP. The following link has good info on pricing (Rizzo Method) and stereo upgrades.

I need your help. I am thinking of purchasing a 2001 330i and am wondering if the default stereo system is any good. I am assuming it is not, but figured I'd ask.

Also, and more importantly, if I build my car on BMW's web site, what can I expect to pay relative to the MSRP that is generated based on the options? Standard dealerships I would expect that I can barter for some discount, is that true at BMW?

Thanks in advance,
MikeB
