The best hotel near city center is the Kempinski Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten which is next to the theater at Maxmilianstrasse 17. (1 block North of Marienplatz. Rates at this time of year are approx. $140 US. I like this hotel better than the Hilton and it's in the heart of the city. Have stayed at both many times. Hotel can recommend a restraunt and make the reservation for you. I have never had a bad meal in Munich. Enjoy the trip.
