Have had a 325ix wagon now since October. 5000 miles. Have snow tires on and live in North Dakota. Lots of snow and ice, and temps down to MINUS 20F (not wind chill--thats been down to MINUS 60F). Drives great. Incredible traction. I think it handles any situation with throttle (like turning from a stop sign) much better than RWD 325i. Only problem--warped front rotors. Had a 325i loaner for a week (yes, the closest dealer in minneapolis let us take it 300+ mile each way--was brand new). The RWD was far less stable in around town driving in the snow (starting at stoplights, turning while accellerating, etc), but did alright--the xi does wonderful. After the warped front rotor was replace at 500 miles, it started again at about 1000 miles. They'll replace them again, but I have to make the 300+ mile trek to the dealer and it's been too snowy. Now have over 5000 miles on the odometer. Drives perfect even in the frigid cold (except of course the vibrating steering wheel whenever the brakes are applied). No clue why the brakes keep warping. Rarely use the brakes at all as there is no traffic in my commute and it's 60 mph all the way with no stops. I've seen others post they've had similar problems, but hopefully once replaced, they'll be fine.
