What I like:
Retains unique-to-BMW, RWD sport sedan feel
AWD/DSC-X makes car unstoppable in snow & ice
Ride/handling balance is very good (see below)
Brakes are great (same as last year's 328s)
Could order car equipped exactly as I wanted (sport package, but no luxury options)

What I don't like:
Sits too high; will upgrade susp. Spring 2001 (the need to lower the car 1.5" trumps my fear of upsetting the ride/handling balance)
Steering is too light; I won't belabor the point.
