Mine has done this too. The other day while coasting over some bumps. I think maybe there is a loose sensor wire or something - hit a bump and it thinks a wheel is not turning or something. I am going to keep an eye on it and ask the dealer to check it out at the next (first) oil change.

I have active handling / traction control on my other car and find it hard to believe that in ANY situation when the BMW lamp was lit did I need it.

I have a 2001 325i, and I keep DSC on all the time.

I have noticed 2 episodes where the DSC light came on
for 1 or 2 seconds when I was driving-- but it was in
situations where there was no unusual conditions... usually
I was driving around 20-30 mph but my wheels weren't
slipping or anything. Is this something that needs to
be looked at?
