...and I can find a couple others who see these things for very cheap considering the normal price(email me). Be sure to get Components for the front, and coaxials for the rear.
Also, for a nice amplifier...I particularly got one from discount car stereo, an Alpine MRD F752...Alpines BEST 5-channel V12 amp for $599 (vs the $900 retail value...but I saw it somewhere else on the net for $525 or $550). Then, depending on what kind of subs you want, you can find some good ones for cheap on the site I recommended above.
THEN, I recommend you go to a local car shop and have them install everything for you.
I got Reference Premium components & coaxials, the Alpine amp listed above, a 1-farad capacitor, and some Kicker subs. The cost for the speakers & amp together was @$950 including shipping (can be purchased for a little less now). The capacitor is $94.50 (from http://store.autoys.com), and installation was only $310 at a shop here in Maryland. The Kicker subs are a friends, and I will be purchasing some JL Audio's very soon (which will be a little out yor budget). I recommend you stick with a really good 2/4 ohm single sub if you wanna save money.
You also can save money by getting a slightly lower powered amp if you want, because my soundsystem is a MONSTER system, and it is not necessary to have as much power as I do!
I hope this helps...Happy Holidays!
