Scott,

Just went outside in the nice 15 degree New England weather tonight to check out my install for you. In my 2000 323Ci, I do indeed have it running to the universal transmitter. To make sure you have the right one, cause there is another dead connector in there, it should have three wires running to it. Red with a white stripe (constant power i think) Green with a Blue stripe, switchable power, and solid brown, ground. If you dont have a voltmeter and are guessing youre not getting power, then i suggest checking your ground. I had to scrape off some residue paint under the screw to get a solid ground. If you do have a voltmeter and are not getting any power period, try hunting around for another connector, because it SHOULD (hopefully) work the with the blue green. I also have the valentine setup in my 96 M3 and had issues with the ground there, so keep that in the back of your mind, good luck.
