using pagers in the late 80's, early 90's - they always have the latest and greatest (good for their image). Need to stop watching so much television. These days, you probably could not pick out a dealer in a crowd of 3.

Can you imagine getting such a page? You're at a ball game, 20 minutes from your car and you're in an absolute panic.

You run out of the stadium, heart pounding, and race headlong for blocks to your car. You arrive and find nothing wrong. Maybe the wind, maybe another car gave it a bump, maybe just a malfunction.

Or let's say you find your car had indeed been burglarized, vandalized, etc. How did the page help you? Just panicked you into a state for no reason at all.

Either way, your pager did nothing to avert anything, and caused you needless distress.

Let the drug dealers have their pagers. At least they have a real use for them.

Everytime your alarm goes off, you get a page? That's a pretty good idea...I've never heard of it though. Is that part of the BMW alarm or is it a different one?
