My friend with an S4 and I were discussing this a while ago. He was considering getting cross-drilled discs, primarily because conventional discs tend to warp and degrade in general when subjected to abuse.

The ceramic discs seem a bit -- a lot, actually -- of overkill, but money isn't a big issue, and the 3's Panzer-like mass is one of my few peeves. (I'm a nut about this: I had the air conditioner removed in my '73 Fiat 124 Spider because it weighed ~70 lbs. and was pointless in a convertible.)
