I just ordered my 330Ci this past Friday and went through the same debate before the purchase. I wanted to get the manual since it is a sporty coupe but I drive in quite a bit of stop and go traffic everyday. I test drove a 330Ci with the Steptronic and was sold on it after only a couple of miles. I would recommend the auto if you are not comfortable driving a manual. The 330 steptronic transmission will give you the convienence of a auto with the option of clutchless shifting...and let me tell ya, the manual mode is still a lot of fun without the clutch. And fast as hell too.
