Simply set the force of gravity equal to the
centripetal force and solve for the mass (M) of the planet or star, GxMxm/r^2=mv^2/r. The satellite mass m cancels out from both sides and if you put M on one side and the rest on the other side of thecentripetal force = m v^2 / r.
at 26,000 miles altitude, orbit to keep it constantly over one location on the earth?
Dave...no help from you!! lol!!
I was gonna ask...what if dog was really spelled C-A-T?? But thought that might cause a brain overload...
I haven't been keeping up on my reading. Ask me a question. Preferably science related.
