I too had a Honda Accord, and my 2000 328i seemed to produce lots of wind noise. In fact I complained to the dealer twice (and brought the car for service), and both times they said it was normal and did nothing.

I wrote a post very much like yours, and got some replies that the reason the wind noise is apparent is because the rest of the car is so silent, and the Honda Accord has much more background noises that masks the wind noise. I thought BULLSHIT!

Well I have Nokian studded tires for winter that create a moderate droaning sound above 60mph (interior noise level probably closer to Honda), and guesse what ... I don't notice any more wind noise, I am sure it will come back in the summer with my quieter tires!

Not saying BMW should be forgiven, but just an observation.

Hi,
I've had my 325i for about a month now and am very satisfied with the car. However I do have one problem that is cause for concern. The car has excessive wind noise when I go over 55+. By excessive I mean its so loud that I cant even hear the radio or cd without interruption. I find it hard to believe that a car of this caliber could have this problem. I also drive a Honda Accord and the wind noise in it at speeds of 90+ is close to none! Could this be a problem with just my car or is this a known issue with this model ?

thanks

hasan
