If you are thinking of putting any type of aftermarket non-BMW equipment into the car, and you decide to use any power in the fuse box, your warranty will be voided in regards to electrical issues.

I've got a friend (who used to post to this board) who did a very clean job of wiring some gauges (VDO) powered through the fuse box. He had an issue, and BMW would not warranty this (it was last week).

Go with the Universal Transmitter power. It's easy, and hidden.
