First, I'd like to thank any of you who respond, this is the first time I have purchased a new car and need some help in trying to determine a good price for a 330ci. I live in Michigan / Minnesota and don't really care which BMW dealer I do business with or where they are located. Again, I would like to take advantage of the European delivery pricing and I expect to finance the car at a rate of 5.9% (6.3% at the highest). The total European Delivery MSRP comes out to $35,310 and the European Delivery Invoice comes out to $31,740. Because I don't have any haggling experience I intend to send out faxes (to dealers in the Midwest) with my offer and my expectation to take advantage of the 5.9% financing rate. From a few of the post I have read, I am thinking that $34,000 will be my offer...does anyone think that is too low or too high? Also, I understand that the 5.9% financing rate is good through the end of February. I intended to order the car in mid April as to pick the car up in mid June. This financing deal is just too good to pass up...so my idea is to send out my offers in mid-February, apply for the financing before 2/28, (which will lock in the rate for 60 days) and THEN order the car in mid-April. Do any of you see a problem with this?
Thanks a lot!
