I have installed one in my 328i and one in my 330i. They work very well. I think that the acoustic properties of the E46 trunk happen to match this subwoofer system very well. The Basslink adds a good, solid bottom end to the sound. However, the sound is not boomey or phoney. The basslink is well engineered and easy to install. I am quite pleased.

but I might try the new Infinity powered sub cause it takes up less trunk space ad seems more tweakable. Both can be found at Crutchfield.
