There is no "factory alarm". The BMW alarm is a dealer installed option. I think the MSRP is $250, but you can get them from Circle BMW or Cutter for $225 i think. The BMW Alarm includes a siren, interior motion sensor, and tow away sensor. Your car is prewired for it and it is 1.5hr book install time. It is integrated with your cars computer and uses your stock key remote.If your dealer wants $500 for tis alarm, i want some of that crack he's smokin.

Thinking of the new 2001 Coupe 325ci, is $495 worth it for factory alarm. Should I think of aftermarket alarm like G4? Are these new Bimmer more difficult for thief to steal?
