I thought they stopped doing that until I noticed them on other new cars from sfbmw. I think they only do the for non-pre-ordered cars. I picked mine off the lot the day they removed it off the truck. It still had plastic on the seats. I believe I avoided getting tagged because I claimed it before they had a chance to tag it.
