One of the most common problems afflicting the 323 and 328 models is thermostat failure. Mine failed yesterday morning at about 12,600 miles.

You got that right.... mine died a few weeks ago at about 16k.

In cold weather some people may first notice the problem as lack of warm air from the heater.

Oh really? :) I think for me it was the fact that I drove for almost an hour on the highway and when I looked down I realized the guage was still in the blue. It wasn't until then that I stuck my hand infront of the vent and noticed I had no warm air. I guess its that fat in combination with my big puffy coat that kept me insulated :) (just kidding... I'm not fat or else I wouldn't be able to fit in the sport seats!)

Anyway, thanks for the insightful info and the pics. You are quite an asset to this group, and once again I just want to remind Jon and you that we wouldn't be able to operate here without you two!
