I doubt it's the torque. It's rolling to slow. And I've driven cars with much more torque rating than this, and do not see the problem.

even at low speeds you will put a lot of stress on the tranny. its just normal to feel the engine buckle into first because theres too much of a torque conversion..but if i were you..practice the full 3 sec stop..look both ways and proceed with caution..hahah!! have fun!!
