MY2000 production start?? (archive)

When is the start of model year 2002? I've heard something about September, but I'm not sure if that's US delivery or date of production. I'd like to get an August production MY2002 330Ci through Euro-delivery in August if at all possible so that I can get it over with and be back in US before the school semester starts back up in first week of September. Also, would it be safe to assume that a MY2002 car would have the new navigation screen and steering revision? Or possibly a late 2001 model even? I'd like that nav system if it's going to be possible to wait and get it. I don't plan on doing Euro-Delivery before the middle of July anyway. Thanks everyone.
