I went through the same dilemma... ended up not getting the h/k, and putting my own system in... sounds way better... granted i sacrificed some space in my trunk for the sub's, but definitely worth it, since i never put anything in my trunk anyway... and the different head unit doesn't look bad, just different... but i'm used to it now, and besides, it's my car, and i like the look of the aftermarket unit, plus it has way more features than the stock radio does...

btw, i've got diamond audio hex 6.5's in the front, 2 rockford amps, 2 10" rockford audiophiles, and clarion pro audio head unit, soon to be changing to an alpine cd unit...
