Many of us bring our car into the shop for every little squeak, rattle, or other minor issue. People who buy lesser cars not as often expect so much, or notice so much. Many of my friends have been showing off their “nice” new car to me and they think their new car is so “nice” and perfect, and I am noticing a dozen things that $uck with it (don’t say anything, of course).

So many of us “prima-madonna” BMW owners take our BMW to the shop to fix every little thing we find, and we are particularly proficient at finding things. Some of the things we insist should be repaired under warranty would have a Honda or GM dealer laughing their @ss off.

I have been considering the purchasing a new 3 series coupe but have been hesitating due to the fact of reliability. I have spoke to many BMW owners in my area and they absolutely love their cars, but they also say they are in for repair more than they are on the road. I am not here to compare apples to oranges. I would just like some comments from other people. One of my BMW friends informed me of this forum, so I thought I would give it a try. In the past five years I have owned two high end japanese (Oh! I said it) sports coupes. Both of which never saw the dealership except for scheduled maintenance. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
