Uhhh, now I'm not about to say that one country's engineering is better than another--I personally believe it's more of where a company chooses to spend it's money--but I need to make a point here regarfing the comment on the U.S. Bridgestone plant. Quality control systems are designed and implemented by companies, throughout their company. So it doesn't matter in which country you build the product, it's the systems, not the people. Just look at Toyota and Jaguar.

in the car industry??? Do you know how many lemons GM have made on the C5? How many tail gate malfunction on the Chrysler minivan? And Firestone, although owned by the Japanese Bridgestone, is manufactured by Americans with a very bad quality control process. you got to be kidding. Stay with your Lincoln or Caddy, you don't have to sense to enjoy driving.
