Performance:
325 - 5-sp 7.1 0-60
15.5 Sec in the 1/4 mile

IS300 - 7.1 0-60
15.4 Sec 1/4 mile

IMO there is no comparison between the two on the inside. 325 looks much better to me on the outside too. Please tell me why there is any doubt?

Jan C&D clocked the IS 300 at
7.6 0-60
15.8 Sec 1/4 mile

325 at
7.0 0-60
15.4 Sec 1/4 mile

but I think the more important number is the 5-60 MPH test, that tests usable torque and horsepower w/o frying the clutch.
IS 300
7.9 5-60

325
8.3 5-60

The Bimmer takes 1.3 seconds longer compared to it's 0-60 time, whereas the Lexus only takes .3 seconds longer. When they add a manual to the IS 300 the 330 will be a fair comparison. I'd still take a 325 because the whole package is better, but the IS has more usable torque, and torque is FUN!!!
