IMO there is no comparison between the two on the inside. 325 looks much better to me on the outside too. Please tell me why there is any doubt?

...because you obviously don't work in any of large metropoli that necessitate an automatic. I envy your situation. I just don't envy the apparent fact that you can feel good about paying the same amount of money for:

1. A smaller displacement engine w/no better specific output.

2. A manual transmission w/o any sort of cost savings, since anybody and their mother knows that automatics cost more to produce, and contrary to your apparent belief, do have their uses.

3. A car that is by all accounts (anecdotal and statistical) less dependable and more expensive to repair.

And good luck trying to throttle-steer that low-torque 2.5 liter around a switchback.
