In Reply to: Obsession with my 330!! Help, I'm too obsessed... posted by Modification with no Sacrifice on May 06, 2001 at 21:46:22:

I used to get crazy over every little thing with my 330 also. It would bother me if a piece of trim didn't line up perfectly, if the driver's side had a drop more windnoise than the passengers side, the rattles, etc, etc,etc

Every week it was something new that drove me crazy, I have to say that the first 3 months I really didn't enjoy my car because I was too obsessed over every little thing that wasn't perfect.

Then one day I finally got tired of not enjoying my car and I decided to accept it as is, rattles and all . . . well it worked and I would suggest you do the same.
In the past 9 1/2 months of ownership I could truly say that I love my car.
Stop worrying about the little things and look at the whole picture. You have an awesome car, enjoy the hell out of it ! ! !

I took delivery of my bimmer about 2 mths ago, and ever since I have been obsessed with every little ding or potential dings for that matter. Also, I've been scared of things such as someone keying it, stealing it, someone crashing into it, so forth and so on... Its just not an enjoyable feeling to have. I thought that buying the bimmer would make me feel good and be the happiest guy on the block. I don't know when it's going to start, but it hasn't started yet that's for sure. How long until I start enjoy this thing for those who have bought their first new bimmer or those who remember what i'm going through?
