I would first adjust the mirror and put it into the folded position, then drive and see if it still makes that noise. If it does then at least you eliminate the possibility it's coming from the mirror.

Otherwise another possibility could be it's a drivetrain whine which sounds a little too loud if you need to crank the stereo to drown it out.

All cars make a little drivetrain whining, some louder than others but it should not be at the point of annoying the driver. If it is THAT loud I would go back to the dealer because there could be a possiblity you have a faulty rear differential.



when driving 65mph+ i get this reeeeally high pitched whistling noise from outside on the passenger side. It increases in intensity as I increase speed. I don't know what's causing it. All I know is it hurts my ears unless I turn the stereo up to drown it out... any suggestion what this could be ??? i only have 800 miles on my car... been happening since around 300 i think...
