I disagree. 'rice/r/y' etc describe an automotive lifestyle and attitude, and relate on race only in that its Asian people and cars that happen to make up the majority (but not all) of that lifestyle. I'm Japanese, live in Los Angeles, and neither I nor any of my asian friends, ricers or not, are offended by its use, whether by other asians, whites, latinos, whoever.

You wanna compare something to the terms you mention, think Jap/Nip/Gook/Chink, etc. which 'we' do find offensive.
