Mine went on mysteriously around 3200 miles on my 325ci. The problem was the thermostat was stuck in the open position yet I didn't notice anything had change since the temperature guage showed normal operation. It sounds like you might have the same problem. This is a well known problem with BMW.


No its not my gas cap... I fueled the car a week half ago and the Service Engine indicator just came on. Any ideas, I really hate to have to take off work for this crap. I've heard fuel vapor could be a cause? but I used 2/3's of the gas already. Anyone else have probs like this so early.
