Don't drive until you can go 100 miles at 2.3 rpm (vary occasionally a little). Best if you take delivery and drive immediately the 100 miles. Continue 100 mile (or more) trips WITHOUT RED LIGHTS for first 500 miles.
After 500 miles, occasionally to 2.6k for very short periods, then to 2.8k and NO MORE than 3k for first 5,000 miles.
That's right, FIVE THOUSAND MILES! AND, not below 2K for first 500 miles, then not below 1.8k rpm until 5,000 miles. Down shift to maintain revs. Do it and you won't regret it. It takes patience, but the car and the results are worth it. You'll get better mileage, greater longevity and MORE POWER in the long run.
