Hmm.. I have a manual.. is my pass. mirror supposed to go down when gear is in reverse? Cause I'm sure it doesn't..


If anyone is having problems with the tilt-down feature on the passenger rear view mirror, BMW has issued a service bulletin for a known software bug.

After putting the car in reverse and then back in first gear to go forward, the mirror on my car did tilt back up but not to the position that I had set in memory. I took it in on Saturday and the mechanic told me that this is a known problem and that BMW issued a service bulletin to fix it. He replaced some sort of control unit with updated software. Works fine now.
