Can someone explain how to use steptronic tranny? (archive)

Can someone explain in detail exactly how to use steptronic. Im not sure when to shift up and especially how to downshift. I dont know what gear to start in and when i should engage the steptronic. Could someone possibly walk me through it?? Thanks a lot
