Rain Sensing System does not work... (archive)

Anyone have their rain sensor not work from delivery - followed owners manual (car definately has it in front of mirror - PP) putting key in position 1 or 2 and moving wiper swith to position 1 (intermitant) - then wipers should swipe once to let you know the rain sensor is now active - I get no swipe - the sensor does show up though on the car and key memory print out as "active".

Any suggestions?
