Shark Injector Installation Hint (archive)

I just installed Shark Injector software on my 99 323...

The instruction call for you to hook up a 10 amp or more baterry charger prior to (for at least 10 min) and during the install process. I thought a 2 amp trickle charger I had would do the job and tried to complete the install ....Wrong. I received a "123" code saying insufficient power and I was unsuccessful in completing the installation. I then borrowed my neighbors 6 amp charger and repeated the install.... I charged for about 30 minutes...then followed the Shark Injector provided instructions... Success. Everything worked as promised.

The punch line....it seems there is indeed a need for more than a el cheapo trickle charger....

Performance.... first impression after driving....some seat of the pants difference, though a cold intake upgrade is probably in order too.
