All cars go through incremental design changes (hopefully for the better), so there isn't much to complain about regarding
that.
Points:
Steering: The steering retrofits were/are being done on a case-by-case basis, and it appears from posters observations that
the 'new-new' steering phase-in in production is proceeding earlier than originally announced (mag schedule is the 'old'
schedule).
Tauter springs/dampers: I take this to mean the standard fitment of SP suspension bits, which has been done on 330s
starting March (?)
Less compliant mounting points: I assume this means stiffer suspension bushings, nothing a set of aftermarkets (Energy?)
won't sure, but its probably a minor pint.
Enhanced DSC: My 01 325iT brochure states it has the 'increase brake pressure during emergency' so my guess is its a 01
across-the-board change.
LSD: This is an actual ehancement. I believe only M3s currently have a LSD.
Bigger NAV screen: This has been talked about here briefly as a possible 02 change.
