I believe in this that the 330 can beat the 328 without hessitation after 60mph. Many people with 328 think they beats some 330s, but what they mean by beating is the 1st and 2nd gear. After that, they are history! I hope I don't often anybody in here. I beated many 328 cars, old M3, etc. with my step 330 (ECU upgraded).

That had one guy running both cars head-to-head, in the end it was pretty much even.

I posted last Thursday about how the 330i with a steptronic shifted in manual mode can keep up with a 328i 5-spd. The 328i held a 1/2 car lenght for 1st and 2nd gear, and then the 330 realed it in in 3rd and passed it.

I encourage more experimentation and confirmation from others, but that was our findings.
