I had a 13.5 second 1/4 mile Z-28, and I am happy with my 325i. The power is sooo smooth and it feels faster than it really is. The 330i will definately keep a smile on your face..even after driving a vette. Its so much more than just acceleration with these cars, as I am quickly learning. Also, the coupe and sedan perform identical....so go for comfort and practicallity...a 330 sedan! Go test drive one ASAP!!

I'm looking for a little help. Currently I'm driving a '95 Corvette, test drove an M3 and was frankly blown away and decided to buy one (on the list for about a month now).

But I've been following the boards a bit and am concerned about possible issues with the M3's - I have always thought buying a car in the first model year (which effectively is where this is) is a bad idea - too many bugs to be worked out.

Now to my question: How does a 330 perform? I've read the numbers but I'd like to know the impression of folks who drive them day to day. Basically my standard for my next car is to have a more comfortable ride (which is no issue going from the 'Vette) with good power and accelleration - if I decide I want to pass I want to know I'll get around someone.

Will I be happy with a 330? Oh, one more question - any performance drop from the Coupe to the Sedan? Noticable differences in handling and day to day driving?

Thanks!
