when the A/C is turned on, it disappears; but if you just turn the fan on ( auto climate control ), it reeks, especially when it's hot outside. It smells like sweat (?)What's going on?

I had this same problem. The drain from the evaporator (inside the dash) didn't (drain, that is). The dealer spent two days trying to figure it out and when they put it back together it started draining OK. They also sprayed some Lysol-like stuff in the air intake, so it's hard to tell if the smell on mine is gone.

Of course, the friggin' thing doesn't drain anymore, so it appears the drain is again clogged. When the lysol smell goes away I fully expect the bad odor to return. Then I'll go back to the dealer to let them try again.

The drain is in the dead center of the car, near the tail of the trans. With you car's A/C on and the recirc set to fresh air, look under the car, right below where the shifter is. You should see water dripping if you live anywhere the humidity is above 20%.

Good luck, let us know how it goes.
