My first so called hi-end car with only 7,000 miles and it's going to be in the shop for the third time tomorrow.

1) six months ago I took in for service because I was hearing a creak on the front shocks. They fixed it. My receipt mentioned they just lubed the damn thing.

2) Took it in again for service 3 months ago. Window rattling. By that I meant loud rattling. They fixed it. The receipt shows they replaced the window regulators.

3) Last night, as I was getting out of a bar, my car wouldn't start right away. It took me at least 8 tries. Like there's no gas coming in. It is embarassing folks. This damn kid in a civic parked next to me couldn't stop smiling. Finally, the car started and the DSC light, brake, and service engine soon light are all on. There's no power to the car either, almost like the brakes are always engage.

My car is now sitting on my garage and I'm hoping that it would start tomorrow so I can take it in for service. Otherwise, I'll have to call towing.

Now, This is my first BMW and I'm not really a complainer but am I expecting too much out of a BMW? Is it too much to expect that a brand new car should not be in the shop every quarter.

I must admit, my last car (92 Acura GS-R) is not as much fun to drive as this 2001 330Ci, but I had the Acura for almost 8 years and never had to take it in for service except oil change. I thought that was normal. This BMW is proving me wrong.

I love this car when it's working. But if this damn car breaks again, Goodbye Bimmers. Sorry to vent folks I am just so frustrated.
