I was considering the same choice between the S4 and 330xi. I ended up going with the 330xi for the following reasons:

1. I liked the bimmer interior better
2. 330XI is a non-turbo, and will probably last longer. not that there's anything wrong with turbo engines but they always seem to have problems around 60-70K miles and up.
3. If I ever really wanted a fast car, all I need to do is slap on a supercharger.....S4's you can upgrade with a chip, but you'll probably never see the same kind of performance as a supercharged 330XI =)
4. I liked the 38/72 power split on the 330xi, vs the 50/50 power split on the S4

S4 and the 330xi are both lovely cars, and trying to choose between them is one of life's toughest and probably most plesant decisions you'll have to make...either way you wind up with a nice car ahahah!

I know this is the Bimma board, but more than that you are smart car lovers, so those of you with any crazy schmack to offer me as answers to this question can save it for your def comedy jam auditions! I am deciding between a 330xi and an S4, there are things I like about both of them, but I need some hard facts/evidence to tip the scales. What are your thoughts? Only those with real world experience with these rides need respond...no disrespect, just weeding out the random stuff.
Cheers,
PV
