Reposting: Clutch problem again ! (archive)

Had my clutch replaced last week. Today the car was parked in a very sunny spot and I switched on the engine pressed the clutch and tried to shift into reverse- wouldn't happen. Tried first gear and well it wouldn't shift there either. Switched off the engine for a couple of minutes and tried and everything was fine.
After driving for a few minutes I could definitely smell a faint burnt metal odour. There was no clutch slippage at all when I was driving and I didn't goof up anything either. So I'm wondering what could have gone wrong.
