Man, when I heard the price I couldn't believe it. ACS sells based on its racing achievements. It has become the standard for those richy rich kids who have $$ to burn. Also I have seen bimmers with ACS emblems as the only mod on their cars. Amazing following cult.

So you're a fan of Alpina too? ;) I am in the midst of transforming my topaz blau into one. Except for the performance mods, I am riding on Alpina Softline 18s and also planning on getting the Alpina spoilers. Have to agree that Alpina is as pricey here in the US. But their comestical mods are simple. If you know where to get a good deal, the prices don't come to be that pricey.

Mine is the topaz blue 325i.

yeah, they are a company with race history, but the stuff they sell is way way overpriced. I do not want to pay extra for a logo. Like the ACS strut bar for $499! Outrageous. There are plenty of other brands like ECIS, AA, even R/D (if not buying from their website) with the same or even better performance for a lot less.

Hamann also modifies Ferraris, BTW. Hamann designs are "in your face" and stand out most, I would say. So people like that kind of styling, I guess, rather than the understated Alpina style(my favorite). Alpina in the US is also quite pricey though...

G-Power also intrigues me - they make some very interesting tunning to the Bimmers. But I haven't seen any mods in the US from them.
