I got a nice dent in the drivers side rear quarter panel while I was at my local BMW Center picking up my E46 M3 Decklid spoiler last Dec. I walked out and put the part in the trunk, walked back in to ask my salesman sonething and then I come back out and there's this POS old Towncar parked next to me. Instantly I noticed this dent(which broke the paint) and I was like F#UCK!!!!!(I had parked far away to avoid anyone parking next to me.) I just stood there up against the building in total disbelief that this had happened and to top it off at the dealership I purchased the car from. Well, finally this guy comes out and says I did that. I wanted to walk up to him and just beat the $h!t out of him, but he had this purple hat on the said "Jesus Saves". He gave me his name and #, etc.(while talking to me like I'm his damn buddy) and said that he does business with the dealership on a regualer basis and just take it over to the bodshop and tell them to give him a discount and get it fixed and he would pay for it. So he leaves and I go in and tell the Service Mgr.(who could have cared less) that he needs to tell the people he does business with the be careful around their customers cars because this dickhead just put a dent in my car. So I got an est. that day and it was nearly $500 bucks. So I call this asshole and tell him how much the damage is and he's now not willing to pay for it. I chewed his ass out and I said something to the affect that I'd take him to court regardless how much money it was going to cost me because it's the principle of the matter. I also told him what I told the Service Mgr. and he laughed. Anyways, I got my insurance co. involved and they wanted a police report, so I met with an officer the following day and He wouldn't file a report. He told me I was going to get that kind of damage by going to the mall. My reply was that, this car doesn't go to the mall. He also said it was my word against his(the asshole). He also stated it wasn't an accident because the cars were not moving. So I call back my insurance co.(USAA)and they said it did matter if the cars were moving or not with it being $500. worth of damage it's an accident. Well, the dumbass apparently had a change of heart and turned it over to his insurance and I got paid to have it fixed, plus a rental car for a week, which I have yet to do.
