My car got of the boat on the 22nd of July, and arrived in Calgary on the 9th of August. I figure it spent a week at the VPC but am not sure.

I don't think you'll get your cat before the 20th unless they're a lot faster with your car than they are with mine. I'm picking mine up on Tuesday @ 7:00PM. Gives you an idea of the travel time.
