I had a 510 with a very stiff suspension many years ago. It was very difficult to dirve in the wet and snow until I put a set of winter M/S tires on it. Much better. But still required care to drive. My 325 is SP-equipped. I would not go any other way. Too much fun when the roads are in good shape, most of the time. Aggressive in snow will do you in eventually regardless of suspension type. I leave the messy conditions to my F350 crew cab 4x4.
