For those of you who don't know whether or not to get leather in your new e46 BMW, I think you should. I have leather in my 2000 323i and I've conditioned it (Lexol) about 3 times in my 16 months of ownership. I'm now living back in Los Angeles, and whenever I take an old friend for a drive in my car, they comment on the condition and smell of the leather. I think the leather is one of the best options for the money.

I have black leather on my 323Ci and my wife has black 'ette on her 323Ci. Trust me, it's not worth $1,400.
