I bought myself an extra set of M68 wheels, and plan on running the same size tires as the SP setup, using winter tires. The LM-22s are being marketed as high performance (H rated) snows. They come in both 225/45/17 as well as 245/40/17.

Tire Rack has assured me that while not optimal (note: normally narrower is better), it should work out fine.

My reasoning is that I need snows no matter what, but I don't drive on snow nearly as often as I do in the dry. If you spend any decent amount of time in the snow, you may want to opt with the factory rim/tire recommendations.
