Can I use the normal green Prestone coolant stuff? (archive)

My coolant is a bit low, and the manual is next to useless in telling me what to use. It said to get the extended duty coolant with ethlyene glycol and corrosion inhibitors, and to replace the coolant every 4 years.

Well, the Prestone yellow bottle with green fluid has the right ingredients, but it's not marked "extended duty." There are other "extended life" stuff but they all say they can last 5yrs/150,000 miles.

So what the hell can I use? I really don't want to go to dealer just to top off coolants.

I really miss the clear coolant bottle where I can see the coolant color and just buy the stuff with the same color.
