I am definitely contesting my ticket with this isssue. When I posted about my incident a while back, no one really mentioned anything from this board. Now I am glad that Emissions and you came out with your stories.

These cops have already targetted bimmer drivers to be aggressive, always speeding, and if drivers are young, probably some rich kids. Why are they wasting time pulling over drivers with no front plates? Just this morning in LA, I saw 2 cars running red lights ( I don't mean amber->red, but full red), 1 car swerving in and out on Santa Monica Blvd like nobody's business, and 1 car which nearly crashed into me while making a turn.

In Isla Vista.

I was driving around looking for my homies. They were going to be at a Sorority Party.

Suddenly, I get pulled over.

First question from officer:

1. Is this your car? I said yes. my name is on the registration officer.

2. Do U know why I pulled you over? I said no, he said, "You have no front plates" I said that it fell off, so I put a replacement BMW thingy.

3. He then said, " I'm going to give you a Drunk Driving test. He proceeded to move his finger and wanted me to follow it with my eyes....of course I passed because I was not drinking.

4. He then said, You take it easy....then I left.

Thats like the 4th time I get stopped in 1 year. Its almost like they love it when I dont have a front license plate just to stop me.

I will probably put one, then I wonder what excuse they have to stop me..hehe :)

If they stop me with 2 plates for no apparent reason then thats harrassment.
