i only have 25000 mile and the light goes off...does anyone know when should i change the pad cause the light on the dash goes on???

It's all a function of how hard you use the brakes, and the type of conditions that you drive in. I got 43,000 out of my front pads and rotors, while the rears went to 51,000 before just pads were needed. I drive moderately in traffic and I brake early. Others can get much less mileage than you did. Don't be surprised if you need pads and rotors in the front. One of the reasons that BMW brakes bite so well is that they use relatively soft pad and rotor material. This is part of the cost of having great brakes. If they save your neck just once, it's worth it!
